It is not a plug-and-play studio management tool — it is the payment layer that custom-built or heavily customized booking and billing software can be built on top of. For franchisors investing in proprietary technology, Stripe's Connect product is particularly relevant: it enables marketplace-style payouts, allowing a franchisor to collect revenue centrally and distribute to franchisee accounts, or to route payments through a corporate account for royalty netting. Implementation requires developer resources. If your franchise system runs on a standard third-party platform like Mindbody or Zenoti, you likely won't interact with Stripe directly.
